4.8 DOSE CALCULATIONS FOR USS LST-1146. Shot ROMEO wasthe only test that resulted in fallout on LST-1146. The fallout was relatively light and probably did not alter routine crew duties onboard the ship. The daily film badge dose is calculated by multiplying the contributions to exposure, both topside and below (from table 3.8), by the appropriate time-averaged shielding factor or apportionment factor. Contributions from each source are summed and convertedto a film badge dose.
