This should be done to establish a baseline of data on knowledge§ practice in the health area for use attitudes and in monitoring and evalukting whatever programs are implemeted as a result of P.L. 96-205. This initial health assessment survey should be but the first]Jin a regularly planned sequence of sample surveys to assess change in the health Iservice system and the health status of the population. Carefully designed sample surveys will probably for the foreseeable future be the best source of data aYailable in the Marshalls.
