AERIALEVACUATION
1,
GEXERAL:
a, On notification of alert concitions I, II, or III, nultiengine aircraft will be prepared for evacuation, Passengers and dc stinetion
must be approved by Commander, Task Group 7.4, or his designated renresentative, Liaison and Helicopter type aircraft will be used to evacuzte
islends other than Enivetok and Parry, if weather conditions vernit,
2, SPECIFIC:
a. Base Operations Officer will alert aircraft crows for flight.
Roster of aircraft evacuation crevs is maintained in Base Oporcetions ond
Test Support Unit Personnel Office,
b. Twin-engino C-47 type aircraft eavipped with long-rengo
tanks will be readied for flight to Wake, Guam, Kyajaloin, or Majuro
lands, as the Commander,. Task Group 7.4 mey direct. Long-range fucl
will be used whon aircraft are cvacuated vithout personnel loads,

ce, Aircraft capable of long-range flights will be Cispatched to
points designated by the Comnencer, Tasi: Group 7.4. Trensicnt aircraft
will be given a priority passenger list without regard to scheduled nassongers,
d, liaison type aircraft and pilots will stand by to ovecuate
islands othcr than Enivetok and Parry,
(1) All available airersft will be dispatchod'as the need
arises; -hovovor, all aircraft will bo sccured when vind
reaches 30 knots,

e, Holicopters will be used primarily for rescue vork, but moy be
used fér evacuetion purposes depending on the situation cs it develops.
" £, Base Operations Officer will be in charge of dispatching cir~
craft and will: -
(1) Maintain close commmications with the vecthor officcr to
‘insure safe flight paths for all circroaft departing or
operating from this station,
(2)
Monitor mrogress of situntion and reeall lizison aircraft
and helicopters when the situotion dictates,
(3)
Priority for passengers will-bo obtained through this
Headquarters or Parry Island Coordinator, whichever is
applicable,
