formation is vitel te refinement of previcus interpretaticn and meoel
studies detailing the dynamics of crater formation and ta confirm residual
rostshot changes of the underlying formations, Specifically, the
information obtained will previde an accurate understanding of the original
cimensions cof the transient craters and threugh precise analysis of
material greperty samples will lead ta an understanding cf the response
behavicr of the lagoen sediments beneeth the craters. All program
ab jectives were accomplished. A total cf 32 precisely positianed
exploratory hales were completed in KOA and JAK craters from a driil ship
in water depths of 30 to 200 ft. (Reference Appendix I fer summary drilling
curves ef each borehole.)
