BERGE: I've seen various other types of book that deal with the same. KOHN: There is no other one that is as comprehensive and as though as this one: Sources, Effects, and Risks of Ionizing Radiation. United Nations Scientific Committee on the Effects of Atomic Radiation, 1988 Report to the General Assembly, with annexes. BERGE: Did you also work on this committee? KOHN: I worked, I helped the first committee that produced one of these. I think that was back in 1957 or something like that. I helped as a consultant to the staff of the book but I haven't done anything with it since. These people now have an office in Vienna. This is really a monumental work.
