RADIOLOGICAL SAFZTY CFPICK AND CENTER
1.
A STF SEVEN radiological safety office (RadSafe Office) and a TS 7.4
.adiolegical safety center (RadSafe Canter) will be established for
each shot. The RadSafe Offices, marned by personne. of the Technical
Branch of the taxi. force Operations Divis‘on (J-3), will >perate as
the task force staff agency responsible for the dissemina*ion of
task coree racdtcl-gical directives, the presentation of radiological
shot briefing material and the maintenance of disrlays of radtologieal information r ring an impact on the cverall task force mission

Detziled Duties
a.
RadSafe Office
(1) Tne RadSafe Office. tn coordination with CTG 7.4 who will
develop the aar RADEX pict, wiil assemble the overe:1 RADEX situation
and disseminate the air and surface RADEX prior to s:.ct time (fore~
cast) and will cr.vinete messages from time to tire afcver shot tise
announcing % {Reertry} Hour, radiological clearances of previously
Closed areas, radiological directives to task grours, advisories to
commands exteria. to the task force and revisions of the air and
surface RACDEX as required,
(2) The RadSafe Office will te resronsibie for the preparation
cf RadSafe forecast infcrmazion for the shot briefings.
(3) The RadSafe Office will maintain displays of radiological
information pertinent to the test ares and having an isract outside
this area to include radiation levels cn atell islands and lagoon,
RADEX infcrmation, cloud trajectories and their relation to occupted
atolls and air ar4 eurface routes contiguous to the danger area,
ship movements in tne danger area, resuits of water sazpling and
euch other items of special radiological consideraticn as may be required by the operazion or the scientific projects
