6. SCOPE OF ACTIVITIES:
‘The end responsibility of the Safety
Office is the monitoring of planning and execution of any activities,
occupational or recreational, which involve, directly or indirectly,
the health and safety of Task Group 7.1 personnel, While its functions
are essentially of an advisory nature, activities include such provinces

Inspection of elevators on station towers prior to
ecceptance by Task Group 7... to assure that certain
safety stamdards in construction and operation have
been met;

Inspection of shot barges, experimental stations, shops,
end laboratories, safety equipment, and safety supervision
of the hanciing of nuclear components;
Consultations on explosive usagea, transportation and
siorage;

Accident investigation and reporting, including injuries,
motor vehicle, and other accidents involving property

investigation amd reporting of recreational hazards and
accidents, includin: equipment and areas;
2. Safety cognizance of the urioacding of nuclear components
from air and surface crceft io insure certain minimum safety
standards, such as devices <nd components arriving aboard
Special Air Mission flights anc the USS CURTISS.
