Juhn C. Bugher AOA A Review of Project NUTMEG This study, conducted in 1948, has been reviewed from the standpoint of our nore recent information. In zeneral, the meteorological considerations are consistent with oresent findings, and the general reasoning with respect to the importance of public opinion in the operation of a test site is well founded. The conclusions given under paragraph 2, page 42, have perhaps been over-stated in the light of the greatly increased amount of information which has developed during the last two or three years. Specifically, conclusion 2a which states that "Tests conducted within the continent of the United States ... under zroper meteorological , , my r ndustry" s ation tions t i o i econo wili resul in no harm to posul condi e l b idera ; lted s ement . e eme sinc stat an extr aphic y. gr the shoto tr indus tne test in cons have resu t men The state harm to te y would 2e more nearl accura s" e if the word "seriou were to preced the word "harm". ; sion ere 2c shich states that "...th n yet remai d d Unite s State co. = . * n can the iJorth Ameri > * nent conti . a oo : 2 G8a%S ge 2U Koom hei areas can be e hu Ta ette a3 n y 22 ar 2, nz* glzSeocye s sl Se sites withi c where absen s uo ey ahr2 i: 2 slid It is quite clear that there is no site within the nor withi gNlZz2e935%. j\Saee ma e ut d . s ate the Unite State where absenc of fall-o on popul " assured is not true. |3{# && BE t ziSe3 ga5 .
