Island would be compared to the Enewetak criteria
as described above rather than to the FRC guidance.
When this is done, it is found that even with
imported food the radiation doses to the people
on Eneu would not be expected to be in compliance
with the Enewetak criteria for about 20-25 years."

I am enclosing copies of Mrs. Clusen's May 15, 1979
letter as well as cited pages from the hearings, the August 16,
1978 Statement of Understanding, and various newspaper articles
that reported at the time that a move to Eneu would not be
possible.
In light of the above testimgny, I believe it would be
appropriate to review this matter, and I request that you provide
Senator Balos, through me, with a thorough answer to his question.
It may be that these 1978 and 1979 statements were based
on incomplete data, but this matter should be cleared up.
