RESPOMSIBILITIES.,
A, The Comnander, Joint Task Farce SEVEN, 15 responsible for all radiological
safety during Operation HARDTACK. The responsibility for general on-site (Eniwatok
and Bikini Atolls) radiological safety operations has been delegated to the
Commander, Task Group 7.1.
B,
The Comander, Task Unit 6, Task Group 7.1,.will exercise overall] super-
vision and control for CTG 7.1 on 611 radiological] satety matters.
C. Teck Unit Commanders are responsible for the raciological safety of mambers
of their task units. In addition, during operations in contatinated areas, project
and perty leaders sre responsible for radiolegical safety cf the parties and for
ecempliance with these regulations.

Continuing surveys af the rediological situation at EPG, to inslude plot-
ting end briefin: facilities casable of portraying past sad current
radiclogical situations. Resorts em ma:s will be prepared for
distribution.

Gama: 3.75 roentgens per consecutive l3-week period, with a marimom of 5.0 roentgens for the Operation. Personnel whose previcus
radiation dose history indicates that their total accumulated dose
to 1 January 1958 18 in excess of or equal to 5(N-18) roentgens,
where K is the age on 1 Jawary 1958, will under no circunstances
be allowed to exceed tne 5.0 R maximm for the Overation.
