ABSTRACT
A
survey of the radioactivity
in the sea in the region of
the North Equetoriasl Current from the Mershall Islands to the
Marianas
W&S
Islands was made
in September 1956.
The expedition
sponsored by the United States Atomic Energy Commission,
Division of Biology and Medicine, and carried out by the Applied
Fisheries Laborstory,
University
of Washington,
with the support
&nd cooperation of the United Stetes Navy.
Plankton samples were taken ty
oblique tows from 200 meters
and weter samples were tsaxen from the surface,
150 meters at 74 stations.
