We thought you might like a brief summary of Commission
decisions and items of information during the period April 17

through April 26, 1956.

1193 - April 17, 1956 (Commissioners Libby, Murray and Vance

attended

1.

Emergency Loading of Weapons - The Commission approved

immediate establishment of procedures for emergency loading of
weapons. Recommendations on appropriate revisions to the procedures
on transfer and custody of weapons will be submitted later.

2. August Vacations - The Commissioners agreed they would go
on vacation the last three and one-half weeks in August.
3. Observers at REDWING - The Commission approved the attendance of news media representatives at a emall shot, if necessary, in

addition to their scheduled attendance at a large shot.

a. Mr. Murray said he would attend a large shot of Operation REDWING in June.
b.

Dr. Leith was presented a Certificate of Appreciation.
