Contact Identification and Development Procedure

1.

Tasks

a. Detect, warn and escort out of the BIKINI-ENIUETOK Danger Area all
unauthorized ships and aircraft.
b.

Provide early warning of and counter any hostile act by enemy vessels

or aircraft.

c. Deny entry of unauthorized surface craft, submarines and airereft into
designeted Closed and Exclusion Areas,

Definitions
a.

ENTVETOK-BIKINI Danger Area is bounded as follows:

Beginning with a

point et 10°15' North Intitude end 160°35! East longituce, north olong the

meridian 160°35!' East Longitude to a point at 12°45' North latitude, 160°35!

East longitude, thence east along the parallel of 12°45! latitude to a point

at 12°45! North latitude and 166°16! East longitude, thence scuth along the
meridian of 166°16' East longitude to a point at 10°15! North Istitude and
166°16!' East longituce, thence west to the point of beginning.

ENIUETOK Atoll.

(3) It is considered that the territorial waters are those within a
three mile limit on the occan side of the atoll snd cll waters insice the atoll.

c. SUBMARINE Exclusion Area is the arca within thirty miles of 4 prospective shot site. No friendly submarines will be in the ENT‘ ETOK~DIKINI
Danger Arca.
