Departed Site Elmer en LSD-1 at 0715 heurs, Monday, 14 Scteber 1957, after
leaving marine ramp at 0645 heurs, Arrived Utirik at 0700 heurs on Tuesday,
15 Octeber 19579 The first T beat, the ene with the equipment on it, tried te
beach at 0915 but was unsuccessful.
The second attempt was made at 1235.-
The first D-8 Tracter hit the beach at 1245, the last piece of. equipment 1350.
The second T beat hit the beach at 1258 and the first trailer at 1315.
The
last of seven trailers ef equipment and constructien materials was unleaded at
1430 heurse As soon as the first trailer hit the beach, crews were unleading
it fer back leading te return to the LSD fer more materials. The unleaded .
equipment T bost headed back to the LSD at 1510 fer anether leado
at 1515, carpenter crews started removing eld tent frames and the natives were .
giveh the eld woed.
The werk day ended at 1715.
Lunch was had en our T beat. The T heuse beat went into the beach at 1600 heurs.
16 Octeber 1957
Werk started at 0700 with many flies in area, By 0800 all eld buildings were
remeved except the eld water tewer. Werk on ferms for distilatien &« pewer
building started at 0810 as well as form work on the day rem. All old panels
and braker bexes frem last operatien were in goed shape.
