It should be noted that the off-loading of equipment and materiale at this
(West) end of the island wil] involve the use of the existing island road system,
These roads are not builtfor heavy traffic ané undoubtedly the roads used would
have to be rebuilt at the eloze of the construction pericd, This rebuilding should
be estimated to include regrading, stabilising where necessary and resurfacing,
This would involve approximately 3 miles of road,

The construction ares is well graded end essentially level, with no pits or
holes, Clearing between trees, including brush removal, could easily be done with
e D-7 and blade. The construction site ie approximtely 3' above high tide, with
no appreciable difference in elevation over the area.

GENERAL+
There is a local houging construction program on, and no construction equipment
is available, sither in shops or mobile. Local residents are very helpful, but any
eid other than on an emergency besia would seriously hamper their own progran and
should not be counted on, This site would indicate concrete floor slabs and the
maxima of prefab and preeut construction, A cowpressor will be needed in addition
to north) equipment, and temporary power should be provided for construction as
local pover is partial 60 and partial 50 ayele and fs now overloaded. Housing and
wessing facilities are pot avellable for construction, and recreation facilities
are crowed,
