f Arrangements for transportationof supplies and equip-t to the site were the responsibilityof the Task Force Ei@neer through J-k of the Joht Task Force. The organizationand mobilization of all construction forces were responsibilitiesof the Task Force tigineer. Invitation to participate in the tests was extended by AllXto the Corps of E@neers, the Medical Department, the Chemical Corps, the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, and the U. S. Coast and Geodetic Survey. Details of their participationwere worked out in consultationwith representativesof AEC ad ticorporatedinto the test Constnction plane. The housing and utility requirementsof each operating agency, together with their requi.rezwnts for any special field construction, were developed as part of the housing and utilities program. The period 3 October 1947 through 7 November 19h7 was one of nmbilization of staff and construction forces and assembly of engineer J requirements. One group of the Task Foxve Engineers staff worked closely with AEC engineers and participatingsefices in developing test constmction designs and accompanyingbills of material. A thtid group developed and put intc.operationthe engineer procurezmnt plan. StIll another group developed the mpping and survey requirements of the operation and organized the field forces to accomplish thie work.
