Agreement has now been reached as to the method of handling the biological and medical experimental program, The purpose of this letter is to acquaint you with the procedure that is to be followed for the introduction of these experiments into the forthcoming test operations. The various organizations interested in introducing such experiments are requested to submit through normal channels a brief outline of their proposed program to Dr. John 2. Bowers, Assistant to Director and Chief of the Division of Biology and Medicine, Atomic Energy Commission, Washington, D. C. We, of course, realize that the time is much too short for such outlines to be other than tentative; therefore, a more detailed outline will be requested at a later date, at which time it will be possible to introduce changes and modifications.
