CONSTRUCTION
The U.S. Public Health Service (USPHS) will furnish portable
radiological surveillance equipment which requires 1.5 kw, 110 volt, 60 cycle,
single phase electrical power.
No building or construction will be required.
The facility is designated a PRIMARY radiological surveillance station because
of the civilian population being in close proximity to the test location. Radiological surveillance activities include the continuous monitoring of external radia-
tion levels, and the testing for radionuclide content of food, air, drinking water
and rainfall. Hawaii State Health Department personnel will be assigned to this
Rad Safe facility.
