Chapter 2 - Mission
The mission of Task group 7.) durinz Optration HARDTACK was twofold:
tooperate aircraft for the purpose of collecting data and samples
and to provide certain of the air suxport sctrvices required by Joint
Task Forcs SEVEN.
This latter function included the operation of air
base facilities at Eniwetok and Bikini Atolls, an inter-island and interatoJ] airlift systeo, weather reporting and forecasting services, air
biiheadh
terminal, search and rescue and communicationservices.
