JAPAN TO ASK DAMACES FOR ATOM DUST
TOKYO
(UPI) == Foreign Minister Aiichire Pujiyama said yesterday
he would ask the JU. 3. gevernment fer a compensation when he gets full
reports on damage inflicted on crew men of two atom-dusted Japanese
scientific survey ships.
Fujiyana made the statement in anewer to a question by Socialist
member Mrs, Satoko Togari who said at a House of Representatives Foreign
Affaire Committee meeting that the Japanese Coast Guard boats Takuyo
and Satusma were outaide the Bikini danger sone when they received
atomic dust.

Mrs. Togari demanded that the Japanese government file a strong
protest with the U. 5. Government.
Pujiyana said as soon as he finds the condition of the crew menbers
of the two ships, he would send a protest note to the U. S. and ask for
@ Compensation for any damage inflicted on the crew men.
