This committee is holding a symposium on the technical re-
sults of Operation CROSSROADS at the National Academy of Sciences
beginning at 0900 February 3, 1947, and continuing through February
4th and 5th. The Joint Chiefs of Staff Evaluation Hoard, Drs.
Bush and Conant, and a number of scientists who participated in the
operation are planning to attend,
In view of your intimate knowledce of the problems to be discussed it occurs to me that you might find 1t interesting to attend
all or part of the symposium.
