This is a complete and well designed rediclogical survey plan. Except es
noted below, n> significant omissions, either in sample collection, enalysis
or interpretation of data are apparent.

It is moted that e diet for the Eniwetokese vill be constructed om the
basis of the Rongeleese diet. Fish, pendenas, coconut, end srrowroot are
predominant in such diets. However, I understand the returning islanders
have been somevhat influenced by western culture and have developed e liking
for canned beef, rice, soft drinks and beer. Such items are not now generally availsble on the island due to isolation end for econamic reasons.
However, the potential for such shifts in dietary habits in the future
:
should be considered in the assessment of long range internel rediation
exposure from food ingestion.
<. We note that the sir sempling plan calls for priority enalysis of the
UHV, LV and Anderson Cascade Impactor samples so thet results cen be quickly
reviewed by Dan Wilson's Date Evaluation Group. During thie critical sespling
phase will the Data Evaluation Group be in close Liaison with DEER and Ea&Ss
for guidanee if changes in the sampling program design are indicated?
