In our last menorandws en this subject, October 11, 1965, it wes noted
thet a cumulative total ef 11 instances of nodular thyreid gleads hed
been found in the 69 surviving Marshallese who had bean exposed to
‘fallout from the subject test while on Rongelap end on Ailingnae. Ail
but one of these cases vere in young people who were less than 10 years
eld at Che time ef exposure. The single exception was in a 4l-year-old
woman (approximately 30 at time ef exposure) who was found te have a

of these people, has just returned from the latest survey conducted
during February and March ef 1964. Me reports that an additioaal] five
eases of modular thyroids have been diagnosed in this group. The present
