On the subject of provision of aerodynamic balloons
for test programs, Sandia has investigated the preparation time for being ready to
carry out such testing.
They have reported to ALO that if wocld take five months
to deliver a test balloon, two months to test fly the balloon, and three to five
more months for delivery of the first production unit.
This means an estimated
ten to twelve months from go ahead until the aerodynamic operations could proceed.
