Chapter 2 - Mission
The mission of Task croup 7.4 durins Operation HARDTACK was twofold:
to operate aircraft for the purpose of collecting data and samples
and to provide certain of the air suxport services required by Joint
Task Force SEVEN,
This latter function included the operation of air
base facilities at Eniwetok and Bikini Atolls, an inter-island and interatoll airlift syste", weather reporting and forecasting services, air
terminal, search and rescue and communicationservices.
