However, tests on air contamination during decontamination gave an average exposure level of approximately 5 d/m/cu.m., with a peak basting only a few minutes of 20 d/m/en. m. 80 the unrest was quieted. Pe ople going in to 200-300 ft. were comming back with booties reading 200-300 c/nfppee wee probe. They were wearing full protective clothing anyway, so no fea r here. Ernie Pinson and his crew did the alpha counting on the planes. They were requested to by the decon crews, this was fine with us. We got the results, and knowing Ernie we are sure they are right. Incidently the man who wes lost was one of Ernie's people, his right hand man on this job and a very good friend, Ernie is really feeling the loss, Thursday was a busy day and the winds cooperated. It was a bit sticky in the middle of the night as to whe ither or not the winds at 20-30, 000Nf¢. would back more to the north, or hold to the east. They held and all was fine.
