Facilites for off-loading cargo and passengers at Ponape
Island consisted of 1 LCM, 1 MWB, 1 plane rearming boat, a
shallow-water dock at Ponape village, and a seaplane ramp on
Langar Island.
Early completion of the new causeway and pier off Not
Point is recommended in order to provide deep-water loading
and unloading facilities, and to eliminate emall-boat cargo
transportation from the present deep-water anchorage, through
the long, tortuous channel, to the present shallow-water dock.
