The newly produced document was sent also to the 495lst in June 1957 to determine further its adequacy for manning. The 4951st concurred in the authorizations. E. SECURITY Initial Security planning for HARDTACK was conducted in a manner similar to that of REDWING, the major area of concentration being the preparation of the Security Annex for the Planning Directive. Included in this annex were the policies and procedures for personnel security clearances requirements, censorship of mail, security inspections at FEniwetok, security violations and compromise, patrols and guards, public information news releases, and entry to the proving ground.
