On behalf ef the Atomica Energy Comaission, I am pleased to invite
you and two members of your staff te witness a shot in the forthcoming series of nuclear tests at the Pacific Proving Greund.
Six Officiel Observer trips are scheduled, the first to depart
Washington about April 26 and the others to follow at intervals of
about fifteen daye. It is planned that observer perties will
leave Yashingten aboard a special mission aircraft about six days
ahead of the scheduled dete of the shot, preceed via Travis Air
Feree fase, California and Rickam Air Force Fase, Hawaii; to
Eniwetok, remain in the forward area about four days, and then
return, taking four days for the return trip. Arrangements may
te made for you to board the aircraft at Travis or Hickam instead
ef Washington if you so desire.
Because accommodations at the Proving Ground are limited, I would
appreciate early information ag to whether you and two members of
your staff can attend and, if so, the period er periods convenient.

you relative to details.
