MISSION: To conduct: weather reconnaissance, typhoon reconnaissance, cloud tracking and such other operations as required during Operation C.STLE (UNCLASSIFIED). 2. RESPONSIBILITIES: The Commander, Test Services Unit, will be responsible for plan- ning and for maintaining a capability to execute the WB-29 mission as outlined in this Annex, 3. PROCEDURES: a. Sortie Requirements: of performing: (1) The Test Services Unit will be capable Two (2) daily weather reconnaissance sorties, of approxi- mately twelve (12) hours duration, beginning on first shot minus twenty (20) days and extending through first shot minus five (5) days and, as directed,on any other than those days on which sorties are required by the following paragraphs. (2) Three (3) daily weather reconnaissance sorties, of approxi- mately twelve (12) hours duration, beginning each shot minus four (4) days and extending through cach shot minus one (1) (3) Ono (1) sortie, of approximatoly twelve (12) hours duration, on each shot day, to porform the following tasks: (a) ‘ (b) (4) Provide preshot reports on weather in the Eniwotok Area affecting aircraft oporations. Provide preshot route reports on weathor between ENIWETOK and BIKINI, (c) Provide preshot reports on weather in the BIKINI (a) Provide preshot "Up Wind Special" weather information (c) Porform postshot heavy particuleto sampling. Area affecting aircraft operations, (if required). Two daily combination cloud tracking-weathor roconnaissance flights, of approximately twelve (12) hours dur- ation, beginning .at H-Hour on each shot day and oxtending through H448 Hours.
