to see and appears to be very dangerous when heavy swolls aré rumni:c.

Laendinzs can be readily made on all islands by motor whalebo:t.
On most of the islands the bench gradiont wis quite stsep, permitting exsy
beaching of boots. 2 sharp lookout should be maintainod at all tin:s for
coral heads and dark, yellow, or dark green, wrter should be svoidsd.

Bikar Islond Fassaze is very difficult to find and passe
through the lagoon is difficult even for eo smell boat. 4 lnnding was
made with very little difficulty in the lee of Bikar Isl<nd <t low tii:.
It wos found advisable to pt the bow of the bont agcinst the reef, which
rises steeply at low tide, mand let the party wede ashore, The writer is
only knec deep at this period of the tide. Backwishn from tho reef should
be carefully watched.
