PPG COMPENSATION PRACTICES
Gentlemen:
Reference is made to your letter of June 15, 196) transmitting the
LASL's proposed policy relating to compensation practices at PPG.
The provisions of the proposal have been approved for application
during upcoming tests.
It is our understanding that the “average month method" of computing
basic salary for exempt employees will be considered for use in
lieu of the method now identified in Appendix A. Please advise if
this assumption is correct.
The provisions of the proposal relating to the extended work week
will naturally not apply until the effective date of the beginning
of the operational period.
