Dear Bill:

Because we failed to complete al} our sampling in the lagoons at
Enewetak and Bikini during our last trip, we would like to use the
time slot available in June to complete the lagoon work and forego
the open ocean sampling.
I've discussed all this with Harry Brown
on the phone and indicated to him we would like two additional days .
as well. This seemed to be no problem.
Therefore, our present intentions are to have the three individuals
named below fly to Honolulu on 12 June. They will require a vehicle
and some reservations for that evening.

The above named will depart Honolulu to Kwajalein on the June 13th
MAC flight and should be ready to depart on the Liktanur on 14 June.
We would like to return back to Enewetak and Bikini to finish our
lagoon sediment samnling. The sequence of atolls is not impcertant
but I recommend going to Bikini first and Enewetak second. This will
allow the vessel to pick up any equipment and some of our gear at
Enewetak and return it directly to Kwajalein. The option is to store

it on board during the trip between Enewetak and Bikini if this were

the routes. We would plan to finish all the lagoon sampling so that
the ship could make it back to Kwajalein on the 23rd or 24th of June.
Rod, Jim and I would return to Honolulu on the 25th of June MAC flight.
On board all we require is to have our small winch operational and

freezer space for sediment samples. No more than 3 or 4 footlockers
of gear will be required for the operation but we would like to bring
all our empty water barrels back to Kwajalein from Enewetak.
