Aerial Search and Fighter Defense Plan

Aerial Search - TU 7.3.3 (Patrol Plane Unit)
a.
The following tasks will be carried out:
(1) Conduct aerial search and anti-submarine patrol in the ENIWETOK/
BIKINI Danger Area which lies within the latitudes 10° 15' N and 12° 45! N
and longitudes 160° 35' E and 166° 16! E to deteét and assist in denying
entry into this area to unauthorized vessels and aircraft. In performing
this task, contact identification and development procedures prescribed in
Annex J apply.
Surface wnits ofTU 7.3.1 will assist in search and ASW
operations in accordance with Annex H.

Before each shot as directed by CIG 7.3, patrol out to 800 miles

Conduct searches, patrols and combatant missions as directed.
(4)
Conduct special searches as directed.
(5)
Conduct Search and Rescue missions, as directed, in accordance
to detect, report, warn and divert shipping from the significant sector.
