You advised that there were no particular reasons for requiring such physical examinations and that they should no longer be required but before confirming this decision to us you wanted certain information regarding the current policies and practices. Forwarded herewith are two memorandums from Seth R. Woodruff, Field Manager, LVFO, which, I believe, contain all of the information you requested. The memorandum of January 6, 1952 gives information at the bottom of page 4, relative to the mumber of examinations given under the old policy and the memorandum of January 29, 1952 answers your question regarding the policy of the contractors regarding pre= employment physical examinations.
