“Tt°is understood that the Commission will submit a request
for authorization of MILLRACE to the President in the near future.
In the event of Presidential approval, certain of the above tests
could be included in that series provided the Department of
Defense and the Atomic Energy Commission objectives can be
achieved at the Nevada Test Site,
Until Presidential approval
of MILLRACE is obtained, the DOD adheres to the view that thesé
tests must be Included in HARDTACK.,
