This money resulted from a refund
during Operation Castle.
Jt was used largely to provide the
of UCHL's portion of the Officers Club surplus which accrued
orchestra for this affair. The profit on leis of .88 represents
money turned over to me by 4. ', Stivers. 50 leis were purchased
with private money ard scld at approximate cost.
You will note a net balance of 24.08 is on hand.
It has been
suggested by ©. 1. Slue that this money be turned over to the
RLEA with the stipulation that it be used to purchase some form
of perpetual trophyor plaque ae an award for one of the aLHh
activities. If this meets with the approval of the recipients
of this letter, I will appreciate being advised and will take
the necessary steps to transfer this money.
Enclosed with the financiel statement is a receipt for the (285.00
paid to Castlewood for the orchestra and receipted Castlewood invoice
of September 7, 1956 in the amount of 1,225.50.
