Project 5.1 ~ In-Flight Participation of a B-47 ~ C. W. Luchsinger

OBJECTIVE
The objective of this project was to measure the blast, gust
and thermal effects of a nuclear detonation on an in-flight B-47
aircraft so that the data recorded could be used to verify
and/or
correct the criteria and methods used in the B-47 Weapon Delivery
Handbook,
In adiition, the project will provide basic research data
for the design criteria of future USAF aircraft,

To accomplish the objective, it was planned to position the B-47
