Radsafe organization for Task Group 7.1, PASTLE.
Radiation Control.
The Radiation Control Group was organfzed to pro-
vide for the radiological safety of personnel entering contaminated areas.
The group established operations stations for all radsafe actfvities at
several centers.
At these stations, radiological situation ddta were
gathered and information required by monitors was maintained
and situation maps.
Jn memoranda
The situation maps delineated areas cleared by rad-
safe personnel, as well as those areas requiring monitor escorr.
Two radsafe centers were established for Operation CASTLE,J one at
Parry and one aboard the Bairoko in Bikini Lagoon.
