Dear Dr, Zignan:
The last group of samples from the second Rongelap re~survey
which we received recently, included several inconsistencies
with the data which accompanied it. We received sumles of
coconut numbered 573, 575, and 577.
I am assuming that
these are identical with the samples from Eniatok numbered
572, 574, and 576. We have a sample numbered 757, which is
a water sample, and according to your data sheet, which is
listed as arrowroot, from Uterik.
We have a soil sample
numbered 655, which I do not find in your list. Sample
nuaber. 588. (pandamus) does not appear on your list. Sample
5 ..-——~ ‘Musber 790, also pandanus, was duplicated. On this sample,
can you give me any information as to which is mumber 790,
and what the other bag should have been numbered.
If you would be kind enough to check your master sample list
and straighten out these inconsistencies, I would certainly
appreciate it. I am holding these samples for processing
until I hear from your.
Sincerely yours,
