S- Govern Proa CRATER LIBRARY | F PREFACE The signing of the Limited Test Ban Treaty in September 1963 marked the close of 14 years of atmospheric nuclear weapons testing spread over an 18-year period. However,it did not mark the end of a need for further information and interpretation of data concerning the health aspects of nuclear weapons testing. This pamphiet is concerned principally with the health aspects of nuclear weapons testing in the atmosphere. Nothing new is contained herein and much has been omitted for brevity. The pamphlet does attempt to bring together the highlights of a large body of information and thus in some small way mayassist in further enlightenment of a complex subject. GORDON M.
