402310 li December 1973 R. 4. Conard E. P, Cronkite Upcoming Marshallese Survey I note that you have Mr. Robert Brown considered as a possibility to assist on hematological examinations. There is so swch work now coming in to Histology and thia will be increasing in the coming months, I do not think it desirable for Mr. Brown to participate in the survey this year. I note also that you have Mr. Cerl Thien and Mr. Douglas Humphrey included for public rebdationss Although the decision is not mine, I must go on record to say that the lesa public reletions that we have on the Marshallese Surveys the better off the Laboratory and the AEC will be. [I state this since the record is not very good for having delivered medical care to these individuals and this ts one of the ma jor fgsuee and the less said about it the beteer. In fact there has been no continuing car’ supported by Brookhaven and the AEC until Dr. Knudsen went out there. Thie is no reflection on Mr. Thien and Mr. Humphrey. I am simply saying that I consider it very unwise to invite public relations when they may do more damage than good. REPOSITORY Brookhaven Ltt AB ©.
