MEMORANDUM TO: Director, Rad-Safe Croup
FROMs
Off-Site Operations Officer
SUBJECTs
Integrated Dosage at Ely, Nevada during
SNAPPER/Easy Shote
1, ‘the integrated dosages mentioned below are based
on the data inclosed,
~
2. It is estimated that the integrated dose at tim.
infinity is from 400 mr to 500 mrs the 24-hour integrated dose
is from 100 mr to 200 mr. In raking these calculations it had
been assumed the cloud passed Ely, Nevada at 0810, 7 May 1952,
the fall-out began at 0900, and the fall-out stopped at ap-
proximately 1700. It should be noted that we cannot use the
maximun reading at 0915 hours (see Inclosure #1) to estimate
integrated dosages because this was the period of active fall-
-
out and cloud passage. We have assumed that at H # 4 hours
_
(0915 reading) 10 mr/hr additional was dua to cloud passages
and fall-out.
