Gibbs SUBJECT: Conflict of Appendix A with Travel Rules and Established Policy Table IV, paragraph 4, page 117 of Appendix A reads as follows: te "All employees assigned to PPG areas outside Hawaii and}French Frigate Shoals will receive, in addition to base pay, a differential allowance of 25% of their monthly 40 hour week base pay or $150 per month, whichever is the greater..... " The portion of the above statement referring to French Frigate Shoals is in direct conflict with the Travel Rules and with the pay policy established for the last Pacific operation. It was directed at that time that personnel assigned to French Frigate Shoals be paid the differential allowance. It is urged that the referenced section of Appendix A be corrected to conform with the Travel Rules and with established policy. The effective date should remain 9-1-64.
