The stratospheric monitoring program vould consist of launching balloons from four existing sites and to mev sites (in the United States) for a period of four months. Attached to these balloons would be the appropriate air sampling devices. A mumary of the Getails of the program follows: 1. The locations of the sites vould be Minneapolis, Mimesota; &Y Gan Angelo, Texas; France Air Force Base, Canal wef| of | 7 ana Larson Field, Washington end V SL Alamorgords, Nov Mexico or Yuma, Arizona (new sites Operated by the Air Force). 2. Row monthly samples vould be taker at each station con- sisting of one sample each at approximmtely 50,000, 65,000, 8,000 ena 90,000 plus feet. 3- The balloons anf equipment for collecting the air samples would be the standard types currently being supplied| General Mills Corporation. by ff —_ 4. ‘he radiochemical analysis would be made by the Commission's Health and Safety Laboratory at Sew York City. 5.
