Box 1009 A.P.O. San Francisco 96555 25 May 1972 United States Atomic Energy Commission P.O. Box 9186 Honolulu, Hawaii Attn: 96820 Mr. W. B. Hilis, Director Dear Mr. Hills: I have been reviewing projects now in work and projects that are being planned for the South Pacific mainly in the Marshall Islands, which will run from what I understand well into 1973. In view of this, I wonder if you would want to consider someone from within the Atomic Energy Commission to handle the requirements here from Kwajalein as the magnitude of laison work has been increasing over the past few years. I am writing to you since all the work for Sandia, Eio-Medical and Radiological is handled through your office, and as you know I heave been here going cn nine years and have handled A.n.C. functions for eight years. I am familiar with both your oper- ation as well as Trust Territory affairs and contacts throughout the Pacific. I will be coming into Honolulu on or about July 7th and then will be going on to Las Vegas, in the interim I would like your considerations and recommendations. Therefore, I would appreciate your reply to the foregoing and would like to discuss this with you further in detail upon my arrival in Honolulu and prior to my departure for Las Vegas.
