In addition, it has been dsteruined that requirements exist to con~
struct new weather observation stations at WAURU and RONGERIKsimilar te
PONAPE essentially identical to the MAJURO station, and construct a new
RadSafe station at RONGELAP similar to the WOTHO statien,

atatiens. Broad criteria and general locations are> contained in inclesures
1 threugh 3 attached.
It is planned that all stations be in operation 1 May 1958 and that
AWS personnel and equipment be in place 15 April 1958.—
Only repairs such as soreens, reinforcement of floers for heavy equipment where necessary, and other miner repairs are to be made en the strue~
tures at the existing stations.
It is desired that all heavy installed equipment to include an ice
making machine and electrie grill be purchased and installed at each station
by H&N at the time of construetien as was done on REDWING, reference above.
Radio vans and seientific equipment will be furnished by CJTF SEVEN.
