Dr.

New York 11973
Dear
Dr.
Thank you
Conard:
for your letter of June
28,
1978,
and the
copy of your field report of the annual medical survey
of last March-April, 1978, which inciuded a section on
the examinations on Bikini
Island.
A copy of your report will be submitted to the House
Interior Subcommittee on Appropriations since Chairman
Sidney R. Yates requested that a copy of the report be
inserted in the June 19, 1978, hearing records.
As you
know, there was confusion as to just when you last had
examined the residents of Bikini Island.
There also was
considerable confusion as to what purportedly was said
to the residents about eating of coconuts
Bikini Island.
I was also pleased
now growing on
to receive the copy of the report on
status of the Rongelap-Utirik fallout victims.
Sincerely yours,
MRS. RUTH G. VAN CURVE
