Sixth Annual Biology Research Conference
"EFFECTS OF RADIATION AND OTHER DELETERIOUS AGENTS
ON EMBRYONIC DEVELOPMENT"

The sixth annual spring research conference sponsored by the Biology

Division of the Oak Ridge National Laboratory will take place on April 20 and
21, 1953.

This conference, supported by the Atomic Energy Commission, will

consist of invited papers and open discussions of a nonrestricted nature.

You, and a limited number of your group who are interested in this field,
are cordially invited to attend our meeting. As this is not an information
meeting, the people who attend should either be workers in the field or should
have a real interest in the subject under discussion.
All sessions will be held in the East Lounge of the Ridge Recreation Hall.
Visitors will be guests of the Carbide and Carbon Chemicals Company, a Division
of the Union Carbide and Carbon Corporation, at a smoker and social meeting on
Monday evening in the Ridge Hall. A tour of the Biology Division laboratories

will be conducted for the visitors on Wednesday morning, April 22.

This tour

will be open only to American citizens. If you wish to see the work going on
in the Division, please fill in the blanks on the enclosed card and return it
with your reservation forms.
Enclosed is a program of the meetings, listing speakers and the subjects
of their talks. Registration fee will be $2.00.
Blanks are enclosed for your convenience in notifying us of your travel

plans and room reservation needs.
