Assistant Manager, Plans and Budgets
1.

Coordination of Program Planning. Acts as principal coordinating
organization within NVOO and as principal planning interface with
AEC Laboratories, DMA, DASA and other agencies in matters concerning definition of readiness program mission and of NVOO programs
necessary to support its objectives.

Long-Range Planning.
Coordinates, develops and maintains a longrange conceptual plan for NVOO response to a resumption in testing under the NNTRP.

Planning Committees. Holds membership on the Off-Continent Planning Committee, the Aircraft Use Committee, and Sampler Working
Group and participates within these committees in the planning
and review of readiness program activities; participates on other
planning committees (e.g., Pacific Planning Board) as assigned
by the Manager.

Logistics Planning Group. Directs LPG effort for AEC under
jointly funded program with DASA. (This responsibility is jointly
held with the Assistant Manager, Engineering and Logistics.)

Budgeting and Work Authorization.
Coordinates budget preparation
and justification; administers a work authorization system to
align and maintain program efforts within authorized scope and
cost ceilings.

1.

Facilities.
Carries out a program to retain AEC test readiness
facilities (including communications) in the Pacific Area at a
minimal maintenance level consistent with NNTRP requirements and
budget limitations, or to provide these on an as-required basis;
develops and maintains conceptual plans for responding to a test
situation (actions, requirements, estimates of time and cost).
